In just under a couple weeks, Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to the big screen with his first lead role in a film since becoming governor of California for a shade under a decade. It's a return to form for the international action superstar as he teams up with Kim Jee-woon (The Good, the Bad, the Weird) for a comedic action flick that wouldn't feel out of place in the mid-90s. Now a new red band trailer has arrived that packs quite a punch. However, if you're looking to have the maximum amount of fun in the theater, I'd say hold off, because it ruins a few enjoyable kills and action moments. But if you don't mind, watch it now!
Here's the new red band trailer for Kim Jee-woon's The Last Stand, originally via Yahoo:
The Last Stand marks the English-language debut of director Kim Jee-woon (I Saw the Devil, The Good, the Bad, the Weird) working from a script by Andrew Knauer, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau). The film follows Arnold Schwarzenegger as a former LAPD cop turned sheriff of a small border town which serves as the last thing standing between the world's most notorious drug kingpin and freedom in Mexico after he escapes from an FBI prisoner convoy. Forest Whitaker, Zach Gilford, Harry Dean Stanton and Luis Guzmán and more also star in Last Stand, hitting theaters on January 18th, 2013.
