"You're not afraid of the dark, are you?" Yes! He's back! Universal Pictures, or actually Vin Diesel himself, has finally unveiled the first teaser for Riddick, the upcoming sci-fi sequel to The Chronicles of Riddick, reuniting Diesel with director David Twohy of Pitch Black. It's barely 20 seconds long and features a few early effects shots edited to flashes, but damnit, this is already everything I was hoping to see in this. Hell yea! From this short tease, it actually looks like they're trying to get back to their Pitch Black roots, but with some new twists. I'm in! I don't want to see more, but I'm sure this is the first of many teases. Check it out!
Watch the very first teaser trailer for David Twohy's Riddick, debuted by Vin Diesel on his Facebook:
Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick director David Twohy returns to write and direct Riddick. Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction. Universal is releasing Riddick everywhere on September 6th.

We might have to wait until Fast and Furious 6 for that...or maybe Jurassic Park 3D or Oblivion.
