"You're not just an analyst anymore - you're operational now." As promised, and despite the passing away of author Tom Clancy earlier this week, Paramount has debuted the first full-length trailer for Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, directed by Kenneth Branagh, with Chris Pine as the new Jack Ryan. This action-packed trailer peels back many layers of the story, including giving us a look at how Keira Knightley as Cathy Ryan gets involved. We also get to see Kevin Costner as William Harper and Branagh as the Russian villain who doesn't play nice. There are a few cheesy moments in this footage, but it doesn't look that bad.

Here's the first full trailer for Kenneth Branagh's Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, originally from Yahoo:

The first poster for fo Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit has been released and can be viewed below.

Kenneth Branagh directs Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit with a script written by Steven Zaillian, Anthony Peckham, Adam Cozad and David Koepp. The film isn't adapted from a particular Tom Clancy novel, and essentially exists as an original story following Jack Ryan before he joined the CIA. Branagh is also playing the villain with Keira Knightley as the love interest, Kevin Costner as Ryan's mentor and Colm Feore in a supporting role, too. Paramount Pictures sends Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit to theaters everywhere December 25th coming up.

After teaming up in The Expendables 2, action fans are surely excited to see Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger back together again as they try to bust out of the most secure prison ever built in Escape Plan. We've already seen a trailer with Stallone and Schwarzenegger doing what they do best, and now two international posters have showed up featuring the meathead duo. One is certainly reminiscent of face off with a poorly done blend in the middle while the other features the stars in the cells of this unique prison. However, we're not sure how they got those big guns on the inside without raising some eyebrows.

Here are the two international posters for Mikael Håfström's Escape Plan from IMP Awards:

Escape Plan is directed by Mikael Håfström (1408, Shanghai) & written by Miles Chapman. Ray Breslin (Stallone), the world's foremost authority on structural security, agrees to take on one last job: breaking out of an ultra-secret, high-tech facility called 'The Tomb.' But when he is wrongly imprisoned, he must recruit fellow inmate Emil Rottmayer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to help devise a daring, nearly impossible plan to escape from the most protected and fortified prison ever built. Jim Caviezel, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Vinnie Jones, Vincent D'Onofrio & Amy Ryan also star in the film which Summit releases on October 18th.

"Ya - let's cut him loose." How much more Riddick can you handle? Out of nowhere, Universal has debuted one more trailer for David Twohy's Riddick sequel starring Vin Diesel as the Furyan badass with night-vision eyes. This now brings the grand total to five trailers for Riddick, between teasers and full trailers and the red band one shown at Comic-Con and everything else (not even counting TV spots). I honestly cannot wait to see this movie, I think it looks totally badass and I'm excited for it (I love Pitch Black), but I've seen enough. I just want to watch the whole movie. Also stars Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista & Jordi Mollà.

Here's the final theatrical trailer for David Twohy's Riddick, in high def from Regal Entertainment:

Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction. Universal is releasing Riddick everywhere on September 6th this fall.

Following the release of a cool piece of poster concept art which was handed out at Comic-Con, the official new poster for Thor: The Dark World has arrived, and it's pretty crowded. Though it's a Photoshop amalgamation of characters and imagery, the composition isn't bad. Christopher Eccleston’s malicious villain Malekith is featured prominently along with a mischievous Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Actually, the poster is quite similar to this final Iron Man 3 poster which also featured a lot of familiar faces. Make sure to come back next week when a new trailer, hopefully with some Comic-Con footage, arrives August 7th.

Here's the new poster for Alan Taylor's Thor: The Dark World from EW.com:

In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and The Avengers, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) fights to restore order across the cosmos, but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith (Christopher Eccleston) returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. Alan Taylor ("Game of Thrones") directs Thor: The Dark World which arrives in theaters on November 8th in 3D. Excited yet?

Don't let go! How about some more marketing for Alfonso Cuarón's Gravity to keep this upcoming movie on the top of your mind. IMAX has unveiled their new poster for Gravity, featuring nothing but a black sky and a floating astronaut. It's the kind of imagery I've been pushing for them to use because the minimalism fits the movie and sells the experience. This poster comes on the heels of three fantastic uncut teaser scenes featuring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. Along with those scenes came three wide theatrical banners, which I tossed in below as well. Hopefully the marketing is keeping everyone as excited for this film as I am.

Here's the second "Drifting" scene from Alfonso Cuarón's Gravity, in high definition from YouTube:

Here's the third "I've Got You" scene from Alfonso Cuarón's Gravity, in high definition from YouTube:

Gravity is directed by visionary Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón, of Great Expectations, Y Tu Mamá También, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Children of Men previously. The screenplay was written by Alfonso Cuarón and his son Jonás Cuarón. Warner Bros delayed Gravity from its initial release in 2012 and now has it scheduled to hit theaters in IMAX and 3D on October 4th this fall. See the first trailer.

Briefly: Just in time for its Comic-Con unveiling later this week, Warner Bros has announced an official title change/update for the sci-fi movie All You Need is Kill. Or, formerly known as All You Need is Kill, based on the book of that name by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. Now it's titled Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton, directed by Doug Liman. From a screenplay by Dante Harper, the story follows an officer (Cruise) fighting a futuristic war against an alien race who gets caught in a suicidal time loop, forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again and again. Edge of Tomorrow seems like a good time loop title, though it does have a bit of a Bond ring to it. Check out the latest photo from the movie and the first teaser poster below and stay tuned for Comic-Con coverage.

Update! Here comes the first official poster for Edge of Tomorrow, as it's now called, from @WBPictures:

Edge of Tomorrow is set in the distant future during war between a race of aliens called Mimics and the human race. Here's the IMDb synopsis: Cruise plays Lt. Col. Bill Cage, an untrained and ill-equipped officer who is dropped "into what amounts to little more than a suicide mission," but gets stuck in a time loop on the same mission. Doug Liman is directing. Warner Bros will release Edge of Tomorrow, formerly All You Need is Kill, in theaters everywhere June 6th next year.

Next week, fans will be unleashed upon San Diego when Comic-Con goes into full swing, and EW has dedicated their most recent issue to the pop culture gathering with a whole slew of new features on films like The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and more. Just yesterday, their cover gave us our first official look at Jamie Foxx in full gear and make-up as the shocking villain Electro. Now another photo has surfaced showing us the other side where there's some sort of chip attached to the villain's head. In addition, there's a couple more cool shots of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man as well. Can't wait to see footage next week!

Here are the new photos from Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 from EW:

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is directed by Marc Webb and written by Jeff Pinker, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman.
Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds, life is busy between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away, but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
Sony will release Amazing Spider-Man 2 in theaters next summer on May 2nd, 2014. Excited?

"You don't look that smart." "You don't either." Summit has finally unveiled the trailer for Escape Plan, formerly known as The Tomb, a new prison escape movie co-starring both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. The concept of this is actually pretty damn cool - take two experience prison escapees, throw them in a next generation prison with faceless guards, special cells and other tricks. Then let them try and escape. This should be fun, and thankfully the footage looks like it might live up to that concept. This is the kind of badass 90's action movie I've missed recently. I'm looking forward to seeing how they pull it off!

Here's the first official trailer for Mikael Håfström's Escape Plan, originally from IGN:

Escape Plan is directed by Mikael Håfström & written by Miles Chapman. Jim Caviezel, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Vinnie Jones, Vincent D'Onofrio & Amy Ryan also star in the film which Summit releases on October 18th.

After filming for 100 days in New York, director Marc Webb has wrapped production on The Amazing Spider-Man 2. If you've been following him on Twitter at @marcw, Webb has been posting daily photos for the last 100 days, giving us little hints at what it's like to direct a superhero sequel like this. It's actually one of the most brilliant and refreshingly smart Hollywood Twitter accounts, and I've enjoyed following every day. On June 25th, 2013 at around 8AM he finally posted: "That's a wrap. Thanks!" Along with a video "100 Days of Spidey" (don't get too excited, it's only 3 seconds). Let's take a look back at his set photos.

For those who have already been following already, here's the last Day 100 video that Webb posted to Twitter. We have a long history with Marc Webb and this reminds me of the time he made a "500 Days of Blogging" video for us during the release of 500 Days of Summer in 2009. It's impressive how far he's come.

That shot of Garfield sitting on the Manhattan Municipal Building looks like it could be for a promo, but it's a cool way to end the production and this fantastic behind-the-scenes coverage on Twitter. Bring on Spidey.

Most of the photos were taken by Niko Tavernise (or @antwrangler) throughout the production, as half of them include Webb in the shot or directing somewhere on the set. It's actually an inspiring, exciting and entertaining experience to look back at the 100 days of photos, and we haven't even seen a frame of footage from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 yet. Here are some of our favorites out of Webb's 100 production photos:

Day 96. Garfield living on the edge.

Day 93. Green isn't just for goblins. @spideygoesgreen #sustainablespidey

Day 94. The Arena.

Day 90. It's hailing cabs.

Day 89. Shoes to fill.

Day 85. Double take.

Day 80. Park Avenue showdown.

Day 76. Suit up! Let's play.

Day 70. White Anglo Lens. @danedehaan readying for his close up.

Day 66. Privet, Amerika. Poznakom'tes c Aleksei Sytsevich!

Day 68. The Amazing Spider-Men.

Day 61. Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Fan.

Day 54. Ravencroft Christmas card.

Day 52. My name is Max.

Day 46. The Master Plan, Part II. #stuntelf

Day 45. This is what happens when you try to give Electro a ticket.

Day 48. Slate it.

Day 41. #cubism

Day 38. A supposed rumor about a Dunder-Mifflin takeover of Oscorp? @bjnovak

Day 39. Part I. (Part II: "Do you still have Raimi's number?")

Day 33. Security.

Day 29. Black suit.

Day 20. Something happened to Matt Tolmach's cab.

Day 8. #ozzytheelectrician

Day 4. #dramamine

Day 1. #anamorphic #film #philthecameraoperator

Day 97. Best Camera Team in the World. #film

There are so many great things to say about this. Starting with that it's amazing the studio (Sony) allowed Marc to even do this, and to share this many photos during the middle of production; and allowed him to reveal some major characters/actors in the photos. Despite very few shots of Andrew Garfield or the leading ladies, there's good reveals for Stan Lee, Paul Giamatti, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, B.J. Novak and Colm Feore. There's also something utterly sublime about being about to get this kind of intimate look at a major Hollywood production, normally closed off and shut down completely until it's released one year later. But everything about this reminds me why I love movies and the art of making movies. All the details put into every scene, every set, every prop and all the people who work so hard to make something like this.

Production began on February 4th, 2013 and came to an end on June 25th. Sony has Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 scheduled for release on May 2nd early next summer, so he still has a year of work in post-production to finish the movie. But it's been an exciting journey so far. For the complete archive of photos and more behind-the-scenes commentary, follow @MarcW. Congrats on completing a long shoot.

Sony will release Amazing Spider-Man 2 in theaters starting May 2nd, 2014. Most likely in 3D.
