Edgar Wright‘s Ant-Man will be released November 2015. That’s the biggest news coming from Disney this morning as they’ve released an update to their schedule. They also confirm that Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World will be in 3D.
When Edgar Wright showed up at San Diego Comic Con this summer to show off the test footage reel he had shot for his Ant-Man film, he frustrated a lot of fans by not revealing when the film would go into production, or when it might make its way into theaters. Speculation has been that Marvel was pushing Ant-Man to the distant future, but now Disney and Marvel have revealed that you'll be able to see it much sooner than that.
But Iron Man 3 director Shane Black and Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor probably knew the moment The Avengers was converted into 3D that their films would be next, and hopefully they've been accounting for it on the set. There's no 3D yet announced for Marvel's other upcoming films Captain America: The Winter Soldier or Guardians of the Galaxy, but unless this trend dies off dramatically within the next year, we can probably expect them to be next.
